This year has been a crazy roller coaster of emotions, weather, personal life changes, and so so much more! Looking back on my journey is not hard for me to do this year, as it may have been in the past, and I am loving the direction that it is taking me! When I decided to write this blog post, A Reflection of a Year, I knew I wanted to share as much of my story with you as possible. I have had the pleasure of serving some of the most amazing couples, families, and friends. I have been able to share in the most special day for some of my most favorite people. I’ve gotten to share in the memories of little ones growing another year older, those graduating from high school (or college), and so much more.

This job isn’t easy, I will tell you that right now, but it is so fulfilling, and I could not truly imagine myself doing any other occupation.

Reflection of a year, and what is to come…

A reflection of a year, especially this year, is something I did not see myself really doing. However, I knew that I wanted to share my story with you this year. To share images of all of my amazing clients with you, and to tell my story. Every year my goal is 20. I want to share in the biggest day with 20 couples out there, and capture these memories for them to have for a lifetime. This year I was so close to that goal, closer than ever before, and I was able to be at the weddings of 18 of my most favorite couples! Granted, that doesn’t include the almost 30 weddings that I got to second shoot this year, so I’m actually at 48 weddings for 2019. I finally created an editing style that I truly align with, and I am emulating the look of vibrant film for all of my shoots… even on those easy rainy Florida days.

So many things in my life have changed between last year and this. I have a new man, new friends, a new home, and so much more. I created a group of close knit friendships that support me and my business. I went to Disney probably 30+ times, both for sessions and also just for myself. I got to travel to Utah, Georgia, Nevada, California, and North Carolina (for work and for pleasure). My business had the ability to shoot at not one, but two, of my most sought after venues in Central Florida! AND, this coming year, I am branching into a TEAM! This will include a permanent second photographer, an office assistant, and a wedding day assistant for those smaller weddings! I am so so so excited to be able to share this news with you!!!

I have set my goals for 2020, and I am not looking back. This new decade will be the best yet! Heres to the New Year!
