I will first admit, this is probably one of my favorite weddings yet.
Now, a little back story on this amazing wedding.
Samantha contacted me through my website, what feels like only a few short months ago, saying that she loved my images and had found me on Instagram. I was so shocked to see that this is how she had found me! Instagram can be such an amazing piece of social media and I couldn’t have been happier to see that she had seen me there. We spoke about her wedding and that she would be traveling here to Florida from Iowa to get married on a cruise! I have never even been on a cruise, except for the time that my cousin married his wife on one of Carnival’s ships while it was in port. She then told me that she would love to have me come along as a photographer/guest to her wedding as she would be having her ceremony through Disney on Disney’s Castaway Cay. I, of course, immediately freaked out and said YES!!! I love shooting at the beach and had seen other weddings on the internet that were shot on the island. I couldn’t believe that she loved my work enough to bring me along on this adventure!
Well, her wedding party of 41 (which really surprised the Disney wedding coordinator) along with myself and Dave all boarded the ship on March 6th and didn’t come back to reality until the 10th. All of their friends and family were so inviting and friendly, they really made us feel like family and the trip so enjoyable. Plus, I can’t even begin to describe the islands and the trip itself HAHA! It was so nice to have a mini vacation but also be able to shoot in one of the most beautiful places ever! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For having me as your wedding photographer, I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. You are the best Ryan & Sam!!!
