Thank you so much for visiting my journal! Here you will find my most recent weddings and sessions to see what I have been up to lately! New posts may be few and far between but I am thrilled to share my most current works with you when I can!
I had the pleasure of traveling out to a town just around the corner of where I spent my entire childhood. The city of Tavares is now home to the most adorable new historic wedding & event venue! The Emerald Fox is definitely going to be one of my favorite venues to date, and I was so happy to be able to tour. It was wonderful to sit down with their event manager Kayla and get to know even more about this amazing new little venue.
The Emerald Fox was built in the early 1920’s. It has been beautiful kept, and its beautiful historic charm is evident throughout the venue. Owners Brittney and Amanda have made all the right decisions when making this home into a wonderful wedding and event venue right in the heart of downtown. Just steps from Wooten Park, this venue has 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms for use on your wedding day. There is a ton of natural light pouring through the many windows, and it makes for some of the most dreamy getting ready images! There are two rooms that can be used as either the bridal suite or grooms room, and two other rooms that can be used for photos as well.
One of my favorite things about The Emerald Fox is that they have made this space usable in so many different ways. The main lobby and fireplace rooms can be used for your cocktail hour, or if you have a smaller, more intimate, wedding you may use this room for your dinner! By day, this amazing space is used as a hair and makeup salon, and by night it can host the most beautiful weddings and events. Wondering about those shampoo bowls on the wall? There is a handmade bar that was custom built to cover these and also serve those cold beverages you have been waiting all day for!
I asked Kayla one thing about this venue that had been on my mind. What do you believe makes The Emerald Fox different from the pavilion next door? She responded with “Our historic charm and the amount of natural light and character that we have been able to preserve here.” She also mentioned “We cater to those brides that are not “Ballroom” or “Banquet” room brides,” to which I wholeheartedly agree. Kayla was such an amazing host and was able to show me so many different things about the venue that made me even more excited to come back again and again.
Some of my favorite things about the Emerald fox:
– Paint colors in the interior are very beautiful and allow for beautiful portraits of your getting ready time and details.
– The kitchen area provides all of the amenities the you may need throughout the day and even if you have a private caterer that may need a kitchen area.
– They have made the Salon area completely removable. You wouldn’t even know that the space is used as a Salon when not hosting an event or wedding!
– The custom built bar that covers the shampoo bowls. I was wondering how those were able to move, and when Kayla told me about the bar and showed me the pieces I was instantly impressed!
– The furniture that is available for use in each of the rooms. I am a sucker for beautiful vintage furniture in bridal portraits, and The Emerald Fox is chalk full of beautiful pieces.
– One of the on site vendors (photography) has her studio available for use during your wedding day. The room has a beautiful white bed (photos of you and your bridesmaids) and a beautiful white door (where I can hang that beautiful dress!).
– The historic preservation. I love the fact that The Emerald Fox still looks as beautiful as it did in the 1920’s. The building has been preserved well and is modern, yet still full of charm!
– The second floor entrance to the ceremony/reception areas. The back door on the second floor leads to a stairwell that will be beautiful for your entrance to the ceremony and reception.
The Emerald Fox offers some pretty amazing all inclusive packages that allow you to not have to worry about some of those rentals that you don’t want to deal with. The venue provides a pole tent, chairs, tables, dance floor, and so much more for your big day. One thing that sets them apart from other venues in the area is that they allow you to use the space for 12 hours on your big day! Bonus: They also take care of clean up afterwards, so your family and friends don’t have to stay behind and deal with that!
I could go on and on about The Emerald Fox, but for now I will let you enjoy these images of their venue and help you decide if this space is your dream wedding venue!
