Floyd Wedding, Winter Park Farmers Market, Orlando Florida

On June 17th, 2017 Kristen and Hunter Floyd tied the knot at the Winter Park Farmers Market in Orlando, Florida. It was a beautiful day filled with their closest family and friends, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Their style as a couple, and their love story, was told through their decor and colors of navy and yellow. But, to truly understand their story, let me take you back to when I first met these two amazing people.

The day that Kristen and I first met was almost two years ago at a fundraiser for a local young man who had lost his life in a car accident. We were both running little booths of our own to promote our products and businesses and she came up to go through my photography albums. I knew this girl was a true home town girl, her accent, and her perfect southern attitude immediately made me love her! Our first session together was when I met Hunter. Kristen had hired me to photograph her family for the holidays, at that time I was able to met her mother, grandmother, and grandfather. It was an absolutely amazing session and full of fun and laughter, and I had a feeling then that we would be meeting again soon.

On May 29th,

Hunter proposed to Kristen in a Sunflower field in Brooksville, Florida. It was a feat planning our strategy to surprise this beautiful girl with the images of their proposal. I was hidden behind a big oak tree, other people were wandering around the farm, and I was frantically texting Hunter to send him photos of exactly what I wanted him to do for the best possible angle. Well, needless to say, Kristen, through tears of joy, said “YES!”, and the wedding planning began!

Let me pause for a second on their love story to show you this image… I cry when I see this.
This image is Kristen’s pure emotions when she walked out of her room and into the area where her bridesmaids were waiting to see her for the very first time. I will never forget their reactions and the way that Kristen absolutely lost it as they praised her from head to toe. It was an experience that I will never forget as a photographer.

After their proposal, I surprised Kristen with the images, and the rest was history. Since then I have done photos for their business together as a couple, their engagement photos, headshots for this beauty, and finally I have also been a mentor to this little budding photographer! We have done some amazing work together, and I cannot wait to see where her work takes her from here. I love being able to be such amazing friends with my clients, and these two are definitely some of my closest!

Thank you so much for allowing me to be the one to capture your most precious memories. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and the sunflowers, the colors, the memories, and your family were some of the most amazing things I will never forget. Thank you for including me in your family and making me feel like one of your friends. I love being your photographer, and I hope that the future holds so many amazing things for you both. Hunter, I cannot wait to see where your Army journey will take you, and I cannot wait to come and visit when you guys get stationed somewhere beautiful! Kristen, you were such a stunning bride, and I hope that you look back on this day and think of nothing but happiness and joy. You are an amazing couple with an amazing story, and I could not be more lucky to call you my clients!
